We’ve worked with Travel Counsellors for a number of years on numerous campaigns and creative concepts so we were delighted to team up with them to bring their 25th Anniversary conference to life. Their conference marks the high point in the social calendar for the company – where their home working and internal staff all come together to celebrate successes and look to future plans.


We already knew the Travel Counsellors brand well, so we were familiar with the ethos and values of the company. We wanted to make sure that for their 25th anniversary we created something that would be really close to the heart of their employees. We know that customers experiences are traditionally celebrated with glorious photos and glowing reviews.


But maybe the most special moments Travel Counsellors provide don’t always happen at the famous monuments. Maybe they aren’t always captured on film. Instead they are the personal memories that people hold dearest to them, brought about by that extra touch or special thought. They are what make Travel Counsellors unique, and it’s those moments we wanted to share. It was time to celebrate 25 years of creating those Moments that Matter.


We created a 25 graphic that could be paired flexibly with both the Moments that Matter conference title, as well as supporting copy to celebrate their values and achievements and look towards exciting future plans. We also looked at incentives running up to the conference to inspire their teams to contribute to the theme. We encouraged online submissions to be in with a chance to win a special set of awards and prizes to be announced at the conference. Sales teams could also receive £50 to spend on a customer to create more moment that matter for a customer leading up to the event.


There were a number of themed tie ins at the conference such as a company timeline with key moments in history, audience interviews and stories, a time capsule and hand written postcards. This was also a key time to looking ahead to the next 25 years- creating moments in the future with new tech and the exciting opportunities this can bring.


The three-day event welcomed 2,000 delegates from across the globe at Event City in Manchester. The huge scale event featured business updates, supplier exhibitions and gala dinners, with entertainment provided by Gary Barlow, Paloma Faith, Dara Ó Briain and Vernon Kay and guest speakers including Bear Grylls and Nicola Adams. It was labelled the ‘best ever’ in company history and Cat Rainey, Head of Internal Events commented added, “The messages and feedback we have received surrounding the conference have been absolutely mind blowing.” Here’s to another 25 years!
