Can’t I just create an explainer video with AI?

Sure you can! There are loads of tools out there that let you upload all your info and create one in a matter of minutes.

But, if you want it to be completely on-brand, we wouldn’t recommend it. Your video can be used at events, showcases, presentations, as part of your company induction for new starters, on your website, socials, and more. With that many eyes on it, it needs to be unique, and unmistakably you. That’s where our branding focus really comes into play. We’ll make sure everything from the music selection through to the tone of voice in the script is bang on brand, and reflective of your company values throughout.

Which programs do we use to animate explainer videos?

Our motion team uses Premiere Pro, After Effects and Cinema 4D on most projects. We partner with some amazing local artists whenever we need illustration, too. Your brand is unique, so we’ll figure out exactly what kind of style you need, and make it happen.

How long do explainer videos take?

Explainer video projects, if they’re about a minute long, with a voiceover, *usually* take about 4 weeks to complete. If you don’t need a voiceover and the style is very basic, it can be quicker. Similarly, if there are lots of moving parts and the animation is complex, it could take up to 8 weeks.

How much does an explainer video cost?

As a very rough average, if we’re assuming it’s a 1-minute video and we’re doing the planning, script writing, storyboarding, voiceover and animation, you’re looking at around £3.5 – 4.5k with us.

If you don’t need certain things, that number will come down. If the project is more complex and you need multiple versions in different sizes for socials, it could be more. But you really do get out what you put in. If your clients are big and this could help sell something worth 10x that value, why would you risk it being the thing that turns them off?
