UX design
You need to make it as easy as possible for someone landing on your website to do the thing that you want them to do.
User Experience Design
We’ve all been there, and had an awful user experience. Whether that’s trying to book a holiday online, reading an article on The Sun website, or just trying to understand what it is that a company actually does.
Good UX design means users don’t get frustrated. It means you’re giving your users a great experience. And it’s more likely they’ll do what you want them to do.
What is UX design?
User experience design (UX design) is the process of mapping out the journey you ideally want your user to go on, and making that journey as seamless as possible. Realistically, most users will not follow the exact journey you want them to take, and will likely not end up doing what you want them to do. The job of UX design is making sure every page has a purpose, and fulfils that purpose, making it as easy as possible for the user to navigate the site.
User experience design is a crucial part of the website build. Without UX design, you’re building something that may look great, but ultimately isn’t serving its purpose.

UX design process
It starts with looking at how you want your users to travel through your site. What you want them to do, and where you want them to end up. If we’re starting anew, we’ll plan that journey and make sure all of your CTAs (calls-to-action) are in the right places, the website is as easy as possible to navigate, and there are no barriers in place.
If it’s more of a UX improvement project, we’ll assess four key areas: Usability, trust, emotion, and action. In this article, we go over our full UX process in detail. If you want us to assess the UX of your site, get in touch today.
Let’s improve your user experience.
01
Usability: The Foundation of UX Design
Users need a smooth digital journey. Usability, often at the heart of UX design, focuses on making your website as user-friendly as possible, removing any roadblocks that might get in the way for your users, ensuring their journey is seamless.
02
Trust: Building Credibility
Trust is the foundation of any successful website. Users need trust in the reliability of your brand, product, and values. Trust is a measure of the effectiveness of your UX design, and it heavily impacts user satisfaction / customer satisfaction, and the success rate of your website. But how do you know if you’re building that trust? Or when you’re breaking it?
03
Emotion: Creating a Connection
To provide a memorable user experience, your website should evoke emotions in users. This can significantly impact customer satisfaction, the average time users spend on your website, and the success rate of your business objectives.
04
Action: Turning Engagement into Results
Usability, trust, and emotion should ultimately lead to action, much like a successful road trip leading travellers to their desired destination. Highlighting areas that could encourage or discourage user action is vital.
Don't just take our word for it
Brand,
Digital
& Motion
We believe every brand is a sleeping giant just waiting to be awoken. To rise up and show the world what it's made of. It's our job to chip away at the stone and realise its potential.
You need a website that does it all. That inspires and informs, builds confidence and trust. That enhances experiences and turns casual browsers into lifetime customers.
How your brand moves says things words can’t. Every movement either raises hairs or raises eyebrows. Delights or deters. It's important to make every movement count.
