What is UX design?

User experience design (UX design) is the process of mapping out the journey you ideally want your user to go on, and making that journey as seamless as possible. Realistically, most users will not follow the exact journey you want them to take, and will likely not end up doing what you want them to do. The job of UX design is making sure every page has a purpose, and fulfils that purpose, making it as easy as possible for the user to navigate the site.

User experience design is a crucial part of the website build. Without UX design, you’re building something that may look great, but ultimately isn’t serving its purpose.

UX design process

It starts with looking at how you want your users to travel through your site. What you want them to do, and where you want them to end up. If we’re starting anew, we’ll plan that journey and make sure all of your CTAs (calls-to-action) are in the right places, the website is as easy as possible to navigate, and there are no barriers in place.

Usability: The Foundation of UX Design

Users need a smooth digital journey. Usability, often at the heart of UX design, focuses on making your website as user-friendly as possible, removing any roadblocks that might get in the way for your users, ensuring their journey is seamless.

Trust is the foundation of any successful website. Users need trust in the reliability of your brand, product, and values.
